We’re Alana and Jason. We know that leaving your cat is a big part of going away. Their wellbeing comes first, and we’re always happy to talk through what helps them feel at home.

We offer a range of raw, tinned and dry foods. Bring your cat’s prescription food and we’ll follow their feeding requirements.

Administering medication is part of our service. Let us know what your cat needs when you enquire so we can discuss their care.

Gas heating and a log burner help keep the cattery cosy when the Canterbury weather turns chilly.

Can I visit before booking?
Of course. We welcome viewings by appointment so you can see the accommodation and meet us. Phone 03 312 5744 or email info@coolcats.nz to arrange a time.
Will my cat mix with other cats?
No. We don’t mix cats from different families. Tell us about your cats when you enquire and we can discuss their accommodation.
What about vaccinations?
Please check with your vet that your cat’s vaccinations are up to date before their stay. Contact us to confirm the requirements and any records you’ll need to bring.
Can you help with food or medication?
We provide a range of foods, and you may bring prescribed food for your cat. Administering medication is part of our service. Please discuss specific feeding and medical needs with us in advance.
What are your rates and arrival times?
Contact us for current rates and to arrange arrival and collection times. Send your preferred dates with your enquiry so we can discuss the details of your stay.
When should I enquire for the holidays?
We recommend booking early for peak periods, especially Christmas and New Year. Availability needs to be confirmed directly with us.
